Midwest Mission Distribution Center Collection Site

The Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Pawnee, Illinois works with Food for the Poor, UMCOR and the United States Southern Command. You may have noticed a sign on our red trailer letting people know we are a collection site. If groups or individuals who work on projects can’t make the trip to southern Illinois, they can bring their projects as far as Pathway and we’ll store them until delivery is arranged.

Some of the needs at the Center include:

  • adult bicycles

  • bleacher wood (if you know of any schools updating their bleachers, just let us know) The bleachers are used to make school desks.

  • work gloves

  • used medical equipment

  • lotion (8-10 oz. no pumps)

  • electric sewing machines including treadle (no electronic)

  • fire equipment – can be expired – will be sent out of USA (firetrucks and ambulances, too)

  • tools (new or gently used), tarps, rakes, shovels, brooms, work gloves.
