The View from the Observation Deck / Restoring Your Vision

Come back—come back to the beginning where those first moments of birth once happened, and you saw everything with new eyes: fresh, clean, and possible. Your young mind wondered, if I reach the top one day, what will it look like?

Now, after years and years of passing time, you sit in your chair on the observation deck, just watching. You feel a sudden newness rushing into your veins. It is the weight of the moment just before. Before the clouds open for rain. Before the door is swung open again. Before your eyes fully see to encounter even more miracles.

Already high above the ground, you let your mind wander to even greater heights. The sky opens wider, forcing you to acknowledge the widths and depths of His almighty presence. The sheer volume of His mercies becomes so tangible that you could soak yourself in them forever.

You let yourself breathe, filling your lungs with the purest kind of oxygen—the air that feeds true living. You sense a change coming, but you decide not to rush into it. Right now, you just want to be. Unmoving. Gazing at His majesty and grace.

High above, eagles are rising, their vision laser-focused. Below, the network that was once built to hold everything together appears before your eyes, shimmering in the light. Like tiny droplets of holiness from the skies, it holds its place firmly, catching the souls who float around looking for a place to stay.

You rub your eyes in disbelief, staring in awe. As your vision adjusts, your mind finally lets go of the rocks on the ground—the ones thrown at you just a little while ago.

Today, you see those exact rocks with gratitude. Without them, there would be less shaping, less refining, and less progress. Through that stone-wash, everything becomes clear. Your mind no longer asks the same questions; it submits to the inevitable.

Soon, we must continue. The door has been heavy to open and even harder to close. The same door that once gave access is now inviting you to rearrange what is inside. How can one create anything?

In that exact moment, Heaven smiles. Out of dust you came. Blow into that ground and see those very rocks float into the positions where they belong. You can see the resurrections with your own eyes.

Wait and see. See and wait.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In the beginning, it was created.

What word are you hearing today?
