From the Shadow of Deception to Resurrection Light

Reflection: The Victory That Changes the Story

We live in a time that mirrors the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the lines between right and wrong are intentionally blurred and deception seeks to pull even the chosen from their path. It can feel as though we are witnessing the "scripture coming alive" as hearts grow cold and many lose sight of their first love. In this storm of confusion, it is easy to feel the weight of a world that calls good evil.

But Easter reminds us that darkness has never—and will never—succeed in overcoming God’s love. Just as God searched for a righteous few to save the land of old, He has already provided the ultimate "Righteous One" to save us all. Jesus is our Cornerstone, the foundational stone that was once rejected by the world but has now become the head of the corner through His resurrection.

Easter is the moment God "turned the tables" on the enemy. What looked like the darkest hour of Jesus’ life was actually the paving of a narrow path that leads to abundant life. He is the same God who heard the cries of His people then and hears yours today. He doesn't just ask us to survive the storm; He offers to be our shelter and to "adjust our sails," turning even the winds of opposition to our benefit.

Easter Resurrection Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we wake up on this glorious day with hearts overflowing with gratitude, for today we celebrate the history-altering victory of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You that the grave could not hold Him and death could not defeat Him; because He lives, we have a living hope.

Lord, we celebrate that Your radiant resurrection has washed away our sins, restored our innocence, and brought us joy. We declare that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in us today, empowering us to walk in newness of life.

Roll away every stone of fear, doubt, and deception that has kept our hearts buried. Lift us above the darkness of this world and help us to live as Your lighthouses—reflecting Your light to a world that desperately needs Your presence. We fix our eyes on Jesus, our Cornerstone, who has won the ultimate victory for us. In the matchless name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
